This system consists of a DEVI heating cable that is fixed to the slab reinforcement, typically to the top reinforcing mesh, prior to the slab being poured. The heating cables heat up the slab, which in turn heats up the floor covering above. This system is designed for connection to 'Off Peak' or 'Time of Use' tariff electricity supply with the concrete slab storing heat during the evening (i.e. the 'recharge' period) and emitting this heat steadily during the day.
This system consists of a DEVI heating cable fixed on top of the floor structure using a light steel mesh or Devifast fixing strips. The cables are covered with a sand/cement screed bed, typically 25mm in thickness with a minimum thickness of 15mm. The cables heat up the surrounding screed, which in turn heats up the floor covering above. In screed is considered to be a direct acting system although it does have some storage characteristics.
This product is specifically designed for heating floating timber floors. The system consists of a DEVI heating cable that is fixed to an insulated panel that is specifically designed to spread the cable out at 100mm centres. The panel's polystyrene insulation ensures that the heat loss downwards is minimised and its aluminium surface ensures a uniform distribution of heat transfer to the floating timber floor.
This system consists of a thin heating cable pre-laid on a self adhesive fibreglass mesh. Devimats can be covered with a flexible tile adhesive, making them ideal for new construction or renovations where minimising floor height loss is important.
Alternatively, a self levelling compound may be used, for instance when used in an under carpet application. In this case, the levelling bed needs to be at least 12mm thick and deep enough to cover the mat, sensor cable and cold tail joint. The devimat cable heats up the surrounding glue bed or levelling bed, which in turn heats up the floor covering above and radiates heat into the room.
