Rehau Hydronic Underfloor Heating
What is Hydronic Underfloor Heating?
Underfloor heating works by circulating warm water through a network of cross linked polyethlene pipes laid in the floors, gently spreading heat through the house.
With traditional radiators, temperature variations can occur due to uneven radiator coverage. Not so with underfloor heating, as the pipe network covers the entire floor area for even heat distribution.
Underfloor heating systems are particularly adaptable and can be installed in both old and new buildings under a wide range of floor coverings including polished concrete, timber floors, carpet, tiles and more.
- Thermal comfort - even surface temperature distribution with mild energy radiation
- Freedom and flexibility of space design due to hidden heating/cooling system
- Cost-efficiency - Reduced on-site maintenance. Servicing of boilers and pumps only
- Flexibility - Unrestricted heating/cooling surfaces in new and old buildings as the system can be installed in the floor, on the wall and ceiling
- Control - our comprehensive controls package offers a solution for the majority of building applications.
Underfloor Heating Benefits
- Energy saving - reduced demand on boilers with effective heating, no heating at ceiling height
- Hypo allergenic due to minimal air movement within a room
- Environmentally friendly - underfloor heating can easily be combined with heat pumps and thermal solar power systems
- Safety - No hazardous wall projections or hot surfaces
